The world vegetaion mapped every 10 days!

This is what ESA is promising us with there new Proba-V stallite. Proba V is the latest in the line of these small almost cubesat type systems. It mhas fours band (B,R,NIR,MIR) with a resolution of 350m and global coverage every 1 or 2 days. It was launch in May and the first global compsite after the commisioning phase has just been published:

 

They promise composites like this every 10 days. Its a natuatl follow on from the SPOT veg product and MERIS and comliments some of the MODIS prodcuts.

Data distribution like SPOT veg is though vito:

but its not nearly as open or easy as MODIS
