Super Sligo Imagery in Google Earth

An odd piece of data has popped up in google earth – a super high resolution winter image of Sligo town. This circular cookie-cut sits on top of the regular data and is clearly an aerial source.
Does anyone know who supplied it? The credits are are SIO, NOAA, US Navy – which doesnt seem quite right

The detail is fantastic- look at this ghostl tree emerging from the shaddows

and the detail has finally solved for me one of the great landscape puzzles of Ireland: what is this obsession with roundabouts?

They’re modern ring forts!

Please have a look on google earth- these grabs dont do the data justice
