Measuring forest carbon dynamics with full waveform laser scanners
This project will test new methods for measuring forest carbon dynamics using the world’s first terrestrial full waveform multispectral laser scanner, developed by the University of Salford. The candidate will be required to combine fieldwork at forest sites in the UK with computer -based modelling of the laser scanner measurements.
The successful student must have a first degree or MSc in environmental science or a related discipline. The student will be supervised by Professor Mark Danson
