Big Data for Earth Observation


The Annual Irish Earth Observation Symposium provides an opportunity for those working in the Irish Earth Observation sector to meet and present their work.

The theme of the 2013 symposium is Big Data for Earth Observation and the integration of remote sensing data streams with other information to provide direct services to end users. As usual presentations covering all other aspects of remote sensing research in Ireland will be welcome: both pure research and applications.

The Symposium will take place over two days in the conference suite of the Teagasc Ashtown Research Centre, with invited speakers on the topic of Big Data for Earth Observation, research and commercial presentations, and networking opportunities.

There is no registration charge for this Symposium thanks to sponsorship. More information on registration to follow.

The call for papers is now open – please submit a 300 word abstract for consideration for oral presentation (20 minutes) or posters. Deadline for submissions is 30 September. Please email abstracts to
