Post doc in UCC

The Forest Ecology Research Group at University College Cork has recently been awarded research funding to study the risks posed by afforestation to vulnerable habitats and bird species in Ireland, which will inform strategic planning of forest expansion in Ireland.

The School of Biological, Earth & Environmental Sciences now seeks to recruit an experienced post-doctoral researcher to lead this project.

The ideal candidate will have a PhD in zoology, ecology or related areas, and a demonstrated competence in GIS, statistical analysis and international scientific publication. Experience in ornithological research and landscape ecology would be a significant advantage. Experience of working in a team environment, report writing and meeting key targets and goals is also desirable.
