Research for a Sustainable Future
Botany Lecture Theatre, Trinity College Dublin, April 15th
Researchers are invited to present results or discuss ongoing research on Irish uplands at a multidisciplinary workshop organised jointly by the Irish Uplands Forum and the Trinity Centre for Biodiversity Research on Wednesday April 15th in the Botany Lecture Theatre.
The workshop will be chaired by Prof. Fraser Mitchell and will include an address by Dr Carmel Ramwell (Food and Environment Research Agency, UK) on the design of agri-environmental schemes for upland farmers.
Presentations, either 15 minutes or 30 minutes, are welcome on environmental, social, economic or management issues, ranging from local to regional scales, on an all-island basis.
The Adrian Phillips Prize (€300) will be awarded for a student presentation.
Please send a research summary (max. 200 words) for inclusion in the workshop programme before February 15th, to events@irishuplandsforum.org.
